HANDS OFF MY OOLICHAN
In times gone by the Oolichan spawned in their millions in many rivers. But as the Anglo European moved further and further up the coast and brought their pollution with them, the rivers became polluted.

Oolichan are finicky, they are delicate, they die easily in minimal pollution. Now there are few rivers where the people can still gather Oolichan.

If Enbridge, Harper and China  succeed in pushing the Northern Gateway pipelines through to the coast and supertankers ply the coastal waters carrying Bitumen, the remaining Oolichan rivers will become polluted. The few remaining Oolichan runs will die off. A way of life will also die.
