There is no need for temples, no need for complicated philosophies. My brain and my heart are my temples; my philosophy is kindness.


His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama  is a pretty smart monk. He comes from a very old tradition and uses the most modern techniques to get his message across. I like his simple but powerful beliefs. At least as far as I understand them and that is certainly not to the depth he does. Consider the following;

Seems to me he believes that it is always possible to be kind. If he is right and it is, think about what a pleasant world we could all create if we only figured out how to do this. Perhaps it is as simple as ‘deciding’ to be kind?
